Home Instead opened its doors in 1994 in Nebraska, when Paul Hogan and his wife Lori decided to care for their grandmother. Like nearly one in four families, the founders of Home Instead had become the natural caregivers of a senior family member for whom, in spite of their good intentions and efforts, they were not able to provide the best care and assistance by themselves.
Twenty years later, Home Instead has become the largest home care company for seniors and individuals with dementia like Alzheimer's. To date, the team has grown to some 65,000 CAREGivers working for more than 1000 franchises based around the world.
A home care company tailored to the needs of Quebecers
The first Home Instead franchise in Quebec was inaugurated in 2014 under the direction of Claude Paré and Louis Sirois. Since 1988, this team has been working in the retirement housing sector through Visavie, a company that offers completely free counselling services in the search for seniors' residences.
Backed not only by this local expertise, but also by its affiliation with international partnerships, Home Instead Quebec offers a wide range of services tailored to the needs of Quebec's seniors and their families.
Our team of professional counsellors and CAREgivers is always available to listen to your needs in order to offer the solutions that will allow your loved one to receive the necessary care while continuing to enjoy those precious moments you spend together.
